The SGIC Jumpstart Trade Careers Autobody Program helps to connect young people to employers in the smash repairs industry. Our network of Preferred Smash Repairers can introduce you to the spray painting and panel beating trades, helping you to jumpstart your autobody career.

Careers in autobody repair are not only for people leaving school; there are several ways to join this
great industry.

STILL AT SCHOOL
If you're in year 10 and planning to complete years 11 and 12, a school-based traineeship or apprenticeship allows you to start your career on a part-time basis. Your Careers Advisor can tell you what's involved.
You can then click on the link below to submit an expression of interest and we will pass your details onto our Preferred Smash Repairers to contact you
if they are considering employing a school based
trainee or apprentice.

If you're leaving school at the end of the year,
full-time apprenticeships let you jump straight into
the industry. Click on the link below to submit an expression of interest and we will pass your details onto our Preferred Smash Repairers to contact you
if they are considering employing an apprentice.

LEFT SCHOOL
If you have already left school, or are thinking about
a career change, some of our preferred smash repairers have employed adult apprentices. Click

smash repairers to contact you if they are considering employing an adult apprentice.
